I am so thrilled to have been extended the privilege of speaking on Entrepreneurship as well as small business Brand Management/Marketing for the Orlando Women’s Confrence on April 5th, 2011. The event will be held at the Peabody in Orlando, FL. The Editor at Orange Appeal, Christy Ashby along with Kate Ashby are the masterminds behind this Large Event. The attendance for the event is expected to be over 700 attendees. Here is the skinny about the event from Christy and Kate:
The Orlando Women’s Confrence is a one day program built around the concept of growing and nurturing women leaders. Orange Appeal has been an ardent supporter of women since launching in 2008 and as a direct outreach, a women’s conference seemed natural. The concept is not brand new, but the venue is.
When starting the planning process we were introduced to the newly expanded and enhanced Peabody Orlando as well as its leader, General Manager Barb Bowden. Both epitomize a commitment to the community another natural fit!
Content for the day’s program will include topics of interest to today’s multi-tasking women from personal finance and the care giving conundrum to career and community leadership development. And as more and more women lead the charge in the entrepreneurial world, there will be sessions devoted to starting and building a business.
Keynote addresses will begin the day and highlight the luncheon with relevant, inspirational messages. An Exhibit Expo area will offer attendees an opportunity to see what’s new in everything from beauty and health care to education and self?improvement. But there will be a dose of fun too with clothing and jewelry vendors as well as prize drawings and specialty demonstrations.
The day will end with an artful reception and networking time where connections and new friendships will be made.
Orange Appeal will be featuring programming content as well as information on our speakers and sponsors. We will be working with a committee of women from across Central Florida to fully develop the day. As part of a “pay it forward” movement we will be offering scholarships so young women with potential may also attend the conference. We all learn from each other…we just need to be open to listening and sharing. The Orlando Women’s Conference will provide a forum for ideas and be a motivator for enacting them.
Stay tuned for more details about this dynamic day for equally dynamic women!
